Hello and welcome to my blog. This is another all dressed up and ready for church. First the word.
So the sermon was about God’s glory in man dignity. It was about the fall of man and God’s determination to bring him back to Himself. Our relationship with Him was destroyed but rebuilt through the death, ressurection and acsension of Christ Jesus. The question was taken from Psalm 8 when David ask God ‘What is man that You are mindful of him?’
Last week I did say I was going to use the BarryM palette again. I have another look in mind and will use it again to see if I can achieve that look. I wore the look when I was on holiday recently.
I was wearing coral Trouser and I had a colour to match it so I was glad I could make use of it.
I recently went on holiday so I have gone a bit dark because it looks like my MAC foundation is a hit too bright for me now. I probably won’t need it till winter now.
I wore this coral Trouser from asos. I have had this for a while but it was too big so I rarely wore it. The top is from H&M Australia and the shoes are from Bank. I am not too sure if Bank still exist but I have not seen an outlet in a while.
I believe that’s it for today. Until next time, have a lovely week.
Is this the perfect selfie or what? The hair was done by myself.
Hello and welcome to my blog. This post is a very late one regarding my look last Sunday.
First the sermon
The sermon was about being justified by God and how can we be clean if we are born of a woman. The answer is through Christ Jesus God has made a way for all. It is up to you to accept His love and forgiveness.
The look & outfit
I had just come back from holiday and I intended to be floral but I changed my outfit in the end. So I wore this New Look floral blouse, Primark midi bodycon skirt with a slit I bought a few years ago and Nine West Shoes which were my birthday presents.
Whilst on holiday my friend gifted me with her BarryM palette which is what I used as it had bright colours to compensate the blouse.
This is the palette my friend gifted me.
The palette is called Meteor Storm has the below colours.
@jaybeeshow thank you. The below is what I managed to do with the palette, I must admit the colours looks brighter in real life.
That’s it for today’s post. Let me know what you think of my look and the outfit. I will use the palette again as I feel it has a lot of potential so stay tuned. I used L’Oréal True Match foundation in dark coffee and Mac studio finish concealer in NW45 which reminds me I have a £25 birthday gift voucher. I am looking to buy their bright lip colours. My lip colour in these pictures is BarryM matte me up lip paint in Signature. I did line my lips with BarryM lip pencil in plum too. Finally I used bnye luxury powder in Topaz to set my under eye.
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today’s post is about last Sundays look which is well late, as always, but it’s better late than never. Last Sunday’s sermon was about God’s providence and the question Job raised was shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil? This is a question you should ponder upon.
Since it’s summer I am playing with colours with my clothes and my makeup pallette. I wore this look for my 29th birthday and thought let’s recycle. The skirt is from Asos and the stop and shoes are from top shop.
For the makeup I used MUA cosmetics bright vibrant colours and their single midnight blue pallette.
For my lips I used L’Oréal infallible lip gloss in the bigger the better and lined my lips with BarryM lip pencil in plum. I also keep reaching for my L’Oréal True Match in dark coffee.
That’s it for today until next time it bye. Let me know if you are trying bright and bold colours this summer or nude and neutral colours.
I used Juvia’s Place pallette: Masquerade and Saharan to create this look.
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today’s blog is a fashion and beauty blog. It was a friend’s surprise birthday dinner in London on Saturday so I went to help her celebrate. I was not too sure what to wear but managed to find something I purchased a few years back. As always reaching into my fashion archives to rescue the day.
What I wore is this gold on black dress from ASOS and black and leopard print heels from new look. I think I underestimated how short the dress was.
The birthday girl opted for a leather pencil skirt, kimono-like blouse and gold heel sandals. Her makeup was natural with a hint of eyeliner for a more bold eyes.
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today’s post is all about my look on Sunday. Last Sunday was fathers day and the sermon was about fathers unfortunately I had to do a few things during the sermon so I guess you can call me Martha, I missed the message. I wanted to keep it light and natural on Sunday partly because I was very tired. As part of the ushering team we wear uniforms every Sunday and last Sunday’s s was black and grey suit.
A few full shot
A few head and facial shots
I did these shots in the kitchen the lighting was amazing and I had selfie lighting as well. I used loreal truematch in dark coffee and MUA eye shadow. For the lips I am wearing bare minerals and BarryM lip pencil in plum.
Hello and welcome to my blog. I am not sure if I have mentioned this before but I mostly buy items on sale and never full price unless I really need to. With that said you will never see me featured on any of the high street retail Instagram page 🤭. OK I know never say never.
One of my good friends birthday outing was this Saturday so I pulled out all the old garments I have purchased. I usually do not have anywhere to go so I have had them for years but maximum 4 years. The sandals I wore was a Nine West sandles I bought from asos some years back. The jumpsuit is from Miss Selfridge, they were the only shop that usually stock my size so I shopped there a lot from their petite fashion.
The jumpsuit has a gold detail skinny belt which adds a bit of character to it. I thought the colour was a bit too much but then when I wore it out it was just fine. I also found an OPI nail polish which matched the jumpsuit. Those are my real nails you see the slide as well.
The birthday girl gave me the opportunity to do her makeup and hair #blessed. This was her final look. She uses a super drug brand foundation and MUA eye shadow pallette. We both wore a jumpsuit however hers are from boohoo.
I know this is well late but better late than never. I am now off to edit my workout video for YouTube. Stay tuned
Hello and welcome. Here is a two blogs in one. I have been a bit busy over the past two weeks as I had an exam. So a bit about this Sundays WORD was a question. As a believe how seriously do you take God. Do you profess with your mouth and live any how? Time to think, ponder and change if need be. How shall we neglect so great a salvation? God hate sin and has provided atonement for us in Christ Jesus, let’s not make a mockry of Him by living any how.
Last Sunday’s look
For this look, the trousers is from asos, the blouse is from H&M. The black and white shoes are from Dorothy Perkins and the nudeish one is from new look. The trouser in this picture didn’t fit me back then, but now they do and I am glad. The eye shadow in this picture is MUA and the lips are elf cosmetics Ruby Red.
This Sundays look
As you can see I am slowly movi g toward vibrant colours. For the eye shadow I used MUA and my lips are BarryM matte me up. The skirt is from Asos, I bought this a few years ago but it didn’t fit either, it does now although it has been adjusted I can take the adjusted part off. The blouse is from Primark. Now that I have a better eating habit, I fit in the size 6 properly as well as 8. I think before the sizing was not true and was a hit and miss for me.
Hello and welcome to my blog. Yesterday we had a lovely weather in the UK. The sun was out so it was hot.
The sermon was about based on questions the disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24. When shall these things be and what are the signs of thy coming? It was concluded that it is not our job to try and read signs of His second coming to to focus on our responsibility as Christians and live a life faithful before God. Remind me of R C Sprolls phrase “To live all of life Coram Deo” which means to live life in the presence of God even though you don’t see Him.
As the sun was out, I decided to wear another african print dress. See the slide below. This dress was gifted to me and as always the shoes are old new look shoes.
The look: makeup
The eye shadow is MUA copper and another colour similar to the greenish dots in my dress. I used MAC foundation in NW55 this time, I do not use this that often because it for special occasion as it a bit pricey. The lip colour is mainly BarryM lip pencil in chocolate. I say mainly because I used another old Mac lip gloss and bare minerales mascara on the lashes. I wanted to tone down the colour since the dress was very bright and cheerful lol. I am not a big fan of lashes as I usually wear glasses although I have a few of them. I was wearing contact lenses in this picture so if my eyes look a bit strange that is the reason. The aim is now to play with colours on the eyes while still keeping it natural.
That’s all for this blog. Until next time, stay blessed.
Hello and welcome to my blog. As always I have to come back with my look on Sunday and a bit of the sermon.
Yesterday’s sermon was about anger. The scripture was taken from the book of Jonah 4. It was concluded that anger is not bad in itself however it what’s you do with it. Anger can cause you to murder and do a lot of hurt whereas anger about injustices is not so bad as long as you do good and not something silly to make a point. I myself suffer from this and hope to get better as the days go by, so help me God.
I used my fenty beauty foundation in 460 and I have to say apart from Mac studio fix fluid in NW55 this is one of the foundations that suit my skin although it looks very red when you apply, it matches the skin right after. For eye shadow I used bare minerals morning glow in the inner corners of my eyes and nightfall which is a bit brownish on the eye lids. I also used bare minerals lip gloss in sassy sorbet. The lip colour is a bit pink. In the outer corner I used a darker shade of a contour kit I bought from lightinthebox. I also used Maybeline eye liner in green shade 37 to line my bottom waterline and gel eye liner to line my lids. I had to add a bit of colour to the eyes seeing I was in floral mood.
I wore a floral dress I bought from asos a few years back. The brand is Vila Clothes and the shoes are nine west. The dress was on sale when I got it and the shoes were a gift. I love the length and fit of this dress. I have previously worn it with a skinny belt which looks just as good.
Here are a few pictures of my outfit:
For my hair I just took out the corn row I had on my head from Thursday or so and just fold and unfold.
What do you think of my look? Are you currently in the floral mood? If not then what fashion mood are you in?
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am taking you right back to Sunday and by that you know this blog is well late. The sermon was what I needed to hear. It was about how Paul’s eyes were set on Christ who assured him many times when he was in prison that He will be with him.
He was aware of the sovereignty of Christ Jesus so he was not shaken. This teaches us that the more you know Christ the better you are able to face tough challenges.
The entire look:
The foundation I used for this look was the L’Oréal True Match in Dark Coffee. I used mac prolong concealer in NW45; the one in the tiny pump and mineralised skin finish powder. The gel liner is from lightinthebox and MUA eye shadow in chamoisee. For my lips I basically mixed L’Oréal the bigger the better and Revlon’s Mink Lipstick. The dress is from H&M and shoes are from New Look.
