Hello and welcome to my blog. As always I have to come back with my look on Sunday and a bit of the sermon.

Yesterday’s sermon was about anger. The scripture was taken from the book of Jonah 4. It was concluded that anger is not bad in itself however it what’s you do with it. Anger can cause you to murder and do a lot of hurt whereas anger about injustices is not so bad as long as you do good and not something silly to make a point. I myself suffer from this and hope to get better as the days go by, so help me God.

The look
I used my fenty beauty foundation in 460 and I have to say apart from Mac studio fix fluid in NW55 this is one of the foundations that suit my skin although it looks very red when you apply, it matches the skin right after. For eye shadow I used bare minerals morning glow in the inner corners of my eyes and nightfall  which is a bit brownish on the eye lids. I also used bare minerals lip gloss in sassy sorbet. The lip colour is a bit pink. In the outer corner I used a darker shade of a contour kit I bought from lightinthebox. I also used Maybeline eye liner in green shade 37 to line my bottom waterline and gel eye liner to line my lids. I had to add a bit of colour to the eyes seeing I was in floral mood.

I wore a floral dress I bought from asos a few years back. The brand is Vila Clothes and the shoes are nine west. The dress was on sale when I got it and the shoes were a gift. I love the length and fit of this dress. I have previously worn it with a skinny belt which looks just as good.

Here are a few pictures of my outfit:

For my hair I just took out the corn row I had on my head from Thursday or so and just fold and unfold.

What do you think of my look? Are you current in the floral mood? If not then what fashion mood are you in?

Until next time, have a blessed week.

About Sunday

Beauty, Church, Curls, Fashion, Hair, IMAN Costmetics, Makeup, Natural Hair, TeamNatural, Uncategorized

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am taking you right back to Sunday and by that you know this blog is well late. The sermon was what I needed to hear. It was about how Paul’s eyes were set on Christ who assured him many times when he was in prison that He will be with him.

He was aware of the sovereignty of Christ Jesus so he was not shaken. This teaches us that the more you know Christ the better you are able to face tough challenges.

The entire look:

The foundation I used for this look was the L’Oréal True Match in Dark Coffee. I used mac prolong concealer in NW45; the one in the tiny pump and mineralised skin finish powder. The gel liner is from lightinthebox and MUA eye shadow in chamoisee. For my lips I basically mixed L’Oréal the bigger the better and Revlon’s Mink Lipstick. The dress is from H&M and shoes are from New Look.

Finally, I hope you have had a blessed week.

Until next time stay blessed.

Hello and welcome to my blog. So basically this blog is a bit late as it was meant to go up on Sunday. Nonetheless here goes.

…but in your eye I’m a queen

The sermon was about how God can use anyone whether in faith or not for His purpose and for the good of His people. It highlighted the kind heart of some none believer but not down playing on their need for God’s righteousness which is in Christ alone.

I wore an african print which is loved by the masses. This dress was purchased for me by a lady in my church in London. And she bought it from a cloth shop probably a market in Ghana.

Until next time, stay blessed.

Huawei P20 non tech first impression

BarryM, Beauty, Makeup, Natural Hair, Uncategorized

Hello and welcome to my blog. So I recently came across the new Huawei mobile phone and having previously had the P8 I was excited about this new release. I got this phone on Tuesday as part of an upgrade from my previous plan with EE.

IMG_20180424_211927

I am glad they still have the filters from the previous P8 on this too.

I have done one test with the phone which is editing a picture I took on my Sony 5100 another investment I made this month. The results was really good and I feel I am going have a lot of fun with both of them. The photo editing capability is really good so I am happy about that.

Shine bright like the diamonds✨

So I am looking forward to artistic pictures of objects and my face of course 🤭. I feel like I should have gone for the pro but one always has to stay within their budget. So far I like it but I have only had it for less than 48 hours so let’s wait and see.

IMG_20180424_203205

I also like how healthy I look in this picture as in full not too skinny on the face obvious it is because I am smiling 😊

I will report back with pictures taken and edited on the device.

P.s This is an upgrade, I didn’t purchase this phone out right although I did consider that.

Until next time, happy selfing.

The idea was that my cake match my dress and my makeup too 😊

Hello and welcome to my blog. It has been a while since i came on here with a lengthy blogpost. I have been quite busy with travelling up and down the country and buay in general.

IMG_20180311_181830_040

This is the makeup i did for the sunday of my birthday weekend. I used the BH cosmetics solar eye shadow pallette. the hair was done for me by a friend

On the saturday i got my makeup done by a friend which i loved. I looked completely different and as it was not any ordinary birthday, i was happy with the outcome of the entire look. I had been planning this look in my head for weeks.

PhotoGrid_1520197168886~2

I bought the dress and shoes from Asos. They were quite affordable as they were in their sale section. I think the shoes were £18.00 and the dress was £15.00. But my cale cost more than my outfit put together.

I went out to central London to eat with a few friends.i went to a restaurant called Bangalore Express and the experience was not great as it was during the short blizzard period in London so it was cold inside. They said their heating had broken down and they made no substitute *roll eyes.

This is their coconut rice with their lamb masala. A lot has change since the last time i went there. It did not feel like for the better. The ambiance was off, no background music just noise from a party down sta

Just so you can see and apprecoate the art on my face. If you are in the UK and need an MUA let me know i know a couple of people.

I was initially looking for a dress for a wedding then i stambled upon this one and a burgandy one. In the end i wore Karen Millen to the wedding.

PhotoGrid_1519542017268

This is the silk Karen Millen dress i wore to the wedding. I have had this dress since 2011. I bought it for a wedding.

I got the hair inspiration from Shameless Maya after my ideas were taken by others. But i liked this hairstyle alot. I was going for the bad girl look so hopefully i achieved it.

PhotoGrid_1520403337534

I was the black rapanzel that weekend. i got this dress from asos as well. it has a slit on the other side. I believe this one was £18.00. I wore this with my Nine West sandal shoe.

How the dress looks from the front. makeup was done by myself.

It was a great weekend and i am grateful to God for allowing me to see this age and this year. May all that i do bring glory to His Holy name for it is in Him i live and have my being.

My 2017 favourites looked something like this

BarryM, Beauty, IMAN Costmetics, Makeup, Natural Hair, Superdrug, TeamNatural, Uncategorized

Hello and welcome to my blog. This os a long awaiting blog and thua there is not going to be too much words.

IMAG1177

As you can see i was very busy with loreal during last year.

My 2017 favourite is mostly the loreal infallible line. Simply because they did the job for me. I got pretty amazing look from the line. I played around with foundations from deep golden to deep cool, mixing cuppacino and espresso as i was not sure which was my shade but got my shade in the end which i believe is 11N Dark Coffee. I could be wrong but i like that finish to the deep golden and deep cool. The matte lip colour: Forgive my sin was my favourite lip colour too. I am in my red phase still.

PhotoGrid_1517691729993

Im currently wearing forgive my sin in this picture not too sure which shade of foundation of the true match im wearing. The eyeshadow is MUA

The BarryM lip pencil in plum also helped me alot. As mentioned before i love their lip penciles. I may try their eye shadows this year.

PhotoGrid_1517691220598

Revlons pink pout with BarryM lip liner Plum

Revlon’s pink pout has also been a staple lip colour I reached for. I have worn it many time last year.

Iman cosmetics eyebrow pencil. I prefer the colour to other eyebrow pencils i have tried.

PhotoGrid_1517691369333

I was going for a natural look with the true match in this picture. You can call it my no makeup makeup look.

For concealer i prefer and use MAC’s prolong wear and cover up. It just does the job. I have tried other concealers and let’s just say i returned to my first love. In addition to their skin finish in dark deep. I think.

Not forgetting Fenty beauty in 460 although it looks red when first applied, it does give a good matte finish and matches me perfectly.

Until next time, its bye from me

First impression: Revlon colorstay foundation combination/oily

Beauty, IMAN Costmetics, Journey To Clear Skin, Makeup, Natural Hair, Uncategorized

Hello and welcome to my blog. I recently bought a few shades of foundation from feelunique and have been trying them since sunday. On sunday i wore the loreal True Match in 10N Cocoa. The foundation looks dark in the packaging but a bit bright when i put it on.

IMAG1186~2

Revlon ColorStay 24 hours wear in Mocha | Shade 450.

Yesterday i wore it in 11N which is Dark Coffee and it was my match yeps!. I might mix the two namely 10N Cocoa and 11N Dark coffee in the future.

PhotoGrid_1517313950251

That corporate swag

Todays look is the Revlon Colorstay 24hour Wear, combination/oily,  shade:450:Mocha. I really like the finish look of just the foundation. It is lightweight with a medium coverage so you will have to use more to cover any hyperpigmentation. I bought two for £6.45. The reason i bought two is on the website it states that there is salicylic acid in it and since my skin attracts acne i thought this would be perfect for my skin by keeping the acne at bay while looking flawless.

Thought on this foundation

At the moment i really like it and would buy it again. I would use it as an everyday-work foundation because of the natural feel and look it gives me.

PhotoGrid_1517312405751

My take on the no-makeup makeup look. My eyebrows are not identical twins. The lighting in the toilet though

Since I rushed doing my makeup this morning, my eyebrow kind of do not match. Reminder: They are not identical twins. But when i do wear this again i will share more pictures.

Finally i used MAC’s skin finish in dark deep to set my face and Nivea’s lip balm in Soft Rosé to add a touch of light pink to my lips. I also used Revlon’s eyeliner and BarryM’s black eyeliner pencil to line my water line. The eyebrow pencil i am using is from Iman Cosmetics. I used loreal’s infallible matte spray to finish it all off. I wish i had done a light contour but i was literally rushing. All this pictures were taken at work in the toilets – not literally but you know what i mean. 😬

The hair

dav

I left the front part then sort of corn row the rest back and corn row the front part and tuck it in to look like its one corn row from the front to the back. Hope this makes sense. Aim is to protect the ends because its very cold. I slick the front down with a bit of olive oil eco styler gel

Until next time, its bye from me

L.A Girl Pro Review: Rich Cocoa, fawn, dark cocoa

Beauty, Makeup, Natural Hair

First of all please note that i am not a makeup artist. When I started wearing makeup at age 20 or 21, I have gone from using maybeline, to revlon to now and still using l’oreal and MAC. I like the l’oreal true matches, although I have not found my true match yet both in foundation and man lol. Just kidding. I was mixing the espresso with cappucino to get to my match then I came across the deep cool and deep golden which worked but I want to try the cocoa which is a colour darker than the deep cool and deep golden. I will review this too once I get my hands on it.

PhotoGrid_1513977878818

Left foundation only | Right foundation and concealer

I recently bought some makeup product to try. Namely the L A Girl pro foundation in Rich Cocoa and the concealer in fawn and dark cocoa and the setting spray. I liked the foundation but looking at pictures it looks like my face is a bit white or bright but in real life it looks nice. I do not like putting foundation on my neck, I keep it just to the face so maybe if I do extend it to the neck it might give me a different look. I like the coverage and would say it gives me a medium to full coverage with a matte finish.

PhotoGrid_1513978861598~2

Lipstick: Revlon in pink pout. Lip liner: BarryM in the colour plum. Eye shadow: MUA Chamoisee and another dark brown colour

I will review Fenty beauty foundation in a later post.

The foundations I will be reviewing next are Fenty beauty in 460, loreal in cocoa, and Lancôme in café if I am able to get one in HOF (House of Fraser) store. I purchased 15 (moka) online only to go instore to collect for them to tell me they have run out, long story kept short. However instore it turns out i am colour 16 (café). Why lancôme? A friend recommended it some years back as a light weight so i will give a try and review.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Untill next time its bye from me

The natural hair journey continues…

Curls, CurlyGirl, Natural Hair, TeamNatural

Hello and welcome,
It’s all about hair talk in this post. I am going to give you a synopsis of my natural hair journey with a few pictures. My natural hair journey started in 2009. My last relaxer was mid 2009 probably around July when I was still in the south of France. Upon my return to the UK, I decided to not  relax my hair anymore. You would think that since it has been about 7 years my hair should basically be sweeping the floor. But no it is not. My hair has gone through a lot of things during those years but what affected it the most was COLOUR.

dav

One of my natural hair protective style i wore in 2015

I have adapted various techniques and styles on YouTube, in magazines, blogs you name them and whereas they have aided in the health and growth of the hair I feel my hair has a lot more growth potential.

PhotoGrid_1513936084176

This picture was taken around mid to late 2010 so probably a year into my natural hair journey.

In 2017 I do not feel I have achieved enough growth. This might be due to ups and down causing me to not exercise on a regular basis, cook and eat nutritional meals reach in vitamins, protein and Fibre. I will share some of my lunch ideas going forward.

Screenshot_20171221-200912

Jogging history

I used to do about 10 miles run or jogging a week to keep my energy up. As I have stated before I have not done this in like about a year according to my sports tracker although I do walk quite a bit so I do not know if that counts as part of it.

Natural hair when wet

So my new year “hairesolution” is to incorporate more protective style such as braids, corn rows, wearing wigs and other styles with my own hair. I have also decided not to colour my hair again because I lost about 4 -5 years growth.

I have purchased and will also be trying the Solgar biotin and collagen and hyaluronic acid from Holland and Barrett. I will keep you updated on any improvement on my hair and skin.

20130704_071406

I had straighten my hair in this one and done a flat twist at the back up to make an updo. My natural hair in 2013.

This is a cornrow out on my natural hair. I was happy with it but will use twist out pudding next time for better definition. My natural hair in 2017.

PhotoGrid_1513890829325~2

What hair your hair journey been like for you in other words how has your natural hair treated you so far?

Until next time its bye from me.
