A week in review: Lunch ideas

Hello and welcome to my blog. So this blogpost is going to be about some of my lunch for the past week. I was on holiday so I did not have the time to blog properly. Here are a few lunch ideas if you are short of ideas.

This is an oven baked lamb burger, oven baked chips and salad. I have sprinkled some chips seeds on the salad.

This is bulgur with mix vegetables, pomegranate and lamb.

This was me at to be saffron rice but the saffron I found was too expensive. In the rice is chorizo, mix bell peppers and salad. I loved this dish and will try it again.

This is a lamb salad with coriander and garlic naan bread

This is a homemade lamb meatballs with wholemeal spaghetti bolognese. Another favourite of mine.

This right here is brown vegetable fried rice with lamb. This is my go-to when I need something quick and tasty.

I got a few ideas from my holiday which I incorporated in my lunches last week. The picture above are meals from this week just gone and the two weeks before that. I stepped up my breakfast idea too, which I will share in another post.

Hello and welcome to my blog. In the blogpost i have my a week in review. it is long over due i know so i have come to you with some of the meals i have been having for lunch.

This is a Lamb burger and oven baked chips.

This is a salmon salad which as avocado, tomatoes, olives, cucumber and bell peppers.

one of my go to meals when i am bored with almost everything. Salmon and a variety of vegetables.

This is salmon and wholemeal couscous. I mix the couscous in mixed vegetable and asparagus.

Here we have white potatoes with salmon and vegetables.

 

As you can see i have vegetables in all of these lunches that i have over the past week. This is to ensure that i am getting the nutrition i need from food and as we already know fruits and vegetable are packed with the essential minerals, nutrients and vitamins require for the body to stay healthy.

I strongly believe that if you have a balance diet rich in various vitamins and nutrients you are less likely to fall ill. I choose my ingredients carefully and research on the vitamins i can get from it, if the food item provides no nutritional value then i will have to cut it out of my diet.

What’s in my grocery trolly?

Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you are doing well. This blogpost is a bit late but i guess better late than never.

From looking at these items you will have a wild guess as to what my meal is likely to be

This week my meal plan has a flavour and twist to it. I also bought some ingredient for my smoothie, for more details check out my previous post on ‘what’s in my smoothie?

I am not sure if i have mentioned this but every morning mostly monday to friday i have a warm water and lemon in the morning to ensure last nights meal has been eliminated. I drink this with a straw for the sake of my teeth.

This week’s meal plan

I have two options:

– Turkey Fajitas

– Lamb, potatoes and vegetables

Just in case you didnt know… Take this as a kind reminder 😝

Hello and welcome to my blog. I recently blogged about building up my home gym. As the snow has all melted away now, i was very excited to hear that it will be nicer over the weekend but it was not what i saw when i looked out of the window.

It was wet and grey but i went jogging any way. Pic is not clear because i was jogging when i took it

I am assuming it will get better over time during the day. I prefer my jog or run in the morning so i had to go. It was about 5 degrees and drizzling so im sure people in their cars thought i was crazy.

I set out later than i intended to because my fone was low on battery. In total i did 6.68 mile in 1hr 15mins 37 secs. The app stopped after my first lap so had to start again. 

I usually do not replace the calories i burn when i go jogging or running. But i will try to replace them going forward.

It is nice to have a nicely shaped body but you need to ensure you are healthy inside because this will show on the outside too.

Take good care of you from the inside. You will have a lot or enough energy to complete a lot of things you need to do during the week. It keeps you motivated.

It is important to do some form of exercise to stay healthy whether it be running, walking or jogging: do something. Healthy living or lifestyle involves your contribution. A lot of sickness can be averted through regular exercise and better eating habits.

Vegetable Orzo with turkey…

Hello and welcome to my blog. So this post is about a revisit to a past recipe that a friend introduced me to about 4 years ago.

Orzo is a pasta shaped like rice. You can have it however you please room temperature or warm and obviously you can decide which vegetables to use.

The ingredient i used. I used one whole red bell pepper and half green pepper.

I seasioned and steamed the turkey then fried the red and green bell pepper. When this was first introduced to me it was with pork but i opted for turkey instead. You can use chicken breast if you please.

The final product ith olives and parmasen cheese.

Hello and welcome to my blog. So today’s i was not sure whether to have couscous and salmon or chicken but i guess the chicken won.
