Hello and welcome. In this post I will be introducing the fabrics I am currently working with. I recently went to Ghana and got myself a few fabric from woodin; I also have fabrics gifted to me from woodin. These fabrics are of good quality and beautiful patterns. In addition to the woodin, I have also bought other fabrics such as scuba and silk charmeuse from ebay which will be turned into a skirt or dress soon.
I am very happy with what I am working on at the moment although it’s taking longer than it should. I will have to try and stay focus and finish at least one. I am such a perfectionist that, before I cut the fabric I would have investigated and researched to ensure I do not waste the fabric. So please bare with me and in due time I will reveal what I have completed.
Until next time, I am sewing my way through.
Hello and welcome
Hello and welcome to my blog. As you can see from the title, this is all about the WORD, fashion and beauty. I am going through a bit of shuffling in my mind and may make a few changes; I will leave that for another blogpost.
We are still exploring the book of Titus. God wants the church of today to show forth the love of Christ on the way we relate to each other. We were also reminded that Love has no place for slander. Paul ask the older women to share their wisdom and encourage the young women.
So if you are older in a church be sure to encourage and correct where necessary. It’s a lonely world out there any piece of encourage can go a long way.
Look and outfit
I wore an african print aka Ankara dres. This dress was made in Ghana and was bought already made. At first sight I didn’t think I would like it, but I have managed pull a two styles out of it one with belt and the other with out.
This me shamelessly posing and showing off my inner Next Top Model fun pose
The dress is a maternity dress top belted it with a skinny belt from some other H&M corporate skirt or dress. And oh the shoes are from NewLook.
I used my M. A. C studio fix foundation in NW55 and their concealor cover up in NW45. For eye shadow I used MUA eye shadow in midnight blue and one of MAC dazzle eye shadow in get phisical and BarryMs meteor storm in the corner of my eyes.
For my lips I used BarryMs lip pencil in plum and Revlon’s lipstick in Mink. I basically just mixed the two.
I should really start doing makeup videos not tutorials but just a how I got my look video on you tube.
Until next time, it’s bye from me.
All set and ready for church
Hello and welcome to my blog. Yesterday we had a lovely weather in the UK. The sun was out so it was hot.
The sermon was about based on questions the disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24. When shall these things be and what are the signs of thy coming? It was concluded that it is not our job to try and read signs of His second coming to to focus on our responsibility as Christians and live a life faithful before God. Remind me of R C Sprolls phrase “To live all of life Coram Deo” which means to live life in the presence of God even though you don’t see Him.
As the sun was out, I decided to wear another african print dress. See the slide below. This dress was gifted to me and as always the shoes are old new look shoes.
The look: makeup
The eye shadow is MUA copper and another colour similar to the greenish dots in my dress. I used MAC foundation in NW55 this time, I do not use this that often because it for special occasion as it a bit pricey. The lip colour is mainly BarryM lip pencil in chocolate. I say mainly because I used another old Mac lip gloss and bare minerales mascara on the lashes. I wanted to tone down the colour since the dress was very bright and cheerful lol. I am not a big fan of lashes as I usually wear glasses although I have a few of them. I was wearing contact lenses in this picture so if my eyes look a bit strange that is the reason. The aim is now to play with colours on the eyes while still keeping it natural.
That’s all for this blog. Until next time, stay blessed.
Hello and welcome to my blog. So basically this blog is a bit late as it was meant to go up on Sunday. Nonetheless here goes.
…but in your eye I’m a queen
The sermon was about how God can use anyone whether in faith or not for His purpose and for the good of His people. It highlighted the kind heart of some none believer but not down playing on their need for God’s righteousness which is in Christ alone.
I wore an african print which is loved by the masses. This dress was purchased for me by a lady in my church in London. And she bought it from a cloth shop probably a market in Ghana.
Until next time, stay blessed.
Hello and welcome to my blog. This is just a blogpost of gratitude to God for salvation and forgiveness of sins provided to all mankind on the cross of calvary over 2000 years ago.
I can confidently sing “Because He lives, i can face tomorrow”
My outfit on resurection sunday. Ankara style from Ghana
I hope you had a great day at church as we remember the greatness of the Creater of heaven and earth and everything in it. #HeIsRisenIndeed
Until next time, God bless you all.
