Your hair will love this
Hello and welcome to my blog. This blog is basically about some of the natural homemade remedies I make and use to deep condition my hair. There is nothing new about this sort of mixture.
The avocado hair mix
When I first started out in my natural hair journey, I tried a lot of things. And being worried about too many chemicals in off the shelf products, I used a lot more clays and Indian powders like Neem and Amla. I also deep conditioned with fruits such as banana, avocado and even papaya.
When my hair was relaxed I tried the York, honey and olive oil mixture. There was an interview with Kimora Lee Simmons in the Sophisticated Black Hair magazine who stated that this was what she used to deep condition her hair. So I decided to try and my result is as below; my hair felt strong, voluminous and bouncy.

This is me when I first tried what Kimora suggested in her interview. I washed the hair and put rollers in 🤭 I was about 17 or 18 at that time, it was 2006. My hair was coloured as well.

This is how the mixture looks like with all the ingredients
Having taken out my hair about three weeks ago I decided to treat the hair by deep conditioning with this all natural homemade hair mask.

The ingredient I used. I will probably do this once a month or once every two weeks. My hair is most likely going to be in braids most of the time but summer is here so for a long as I have it out
The ingredients in the mask is as follows:
Avocado
Egg York
Avocado oil
Jojoba oil
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Castor oil
Honey
Glycerine
A squeeze of lemon
Cedarwood, Peppermint, Rosemary, Frankincense and Lavender essential oil
Tea spoon of apple cider vinegar
Aloe Vera and Rosemary floral water

Detangle and section the hair

I then put the mixture in my hair in sections.
I left it on for a about 2 to 3 hours while I did something else and washed it off. I oiled my hair and scalp with an oil mixture I made for my self, I then used the African Pride’s leave in conditioner and my shea butter mix to moisturise. I followed this with detangling and cornrow the hair. I took out the cornrow the next day and my hair was as below, it was very soft.
I am not too bothered about defined curls so I was happy with the result. Although my face takes most of the shots, I had not planned to blog about this. I filmed it to post on YouTube, I will take pictures of the hair when I do do this again.
I will end this here and until next time, it bye from me.
