Hello and welcome to my blog. This post is about herbal powders and dried berries. I only started food swaps about 4 or 5 years ago when i bought the book The clear skin diet. My skin had been acne prone the longest time ever which had a toll on my confidence.
I finally said enough is enough and came across the book The Clear Skin Diet. Adopting some of the recipes and changing my lifestyle helped alot. I have an indepth post awaiting posting so i will share that very soon.
I recently bought a few things from realfoodsource which i want to share with you. I bought their organic green blend which is a mixture of matcha, wheatgrass, chlorella, spirulina and green tea. I also bought the Organic Maca powder and Organic goji berries.
The goji berries act as my snack, they are very chewy and sweet so i rarely have other cravings at work. I also have the green blend tea whenever i am at work after my breakfast. I recently made a spinach, broccoli and blueberry smoothie with coconut water and added some of the Maca. The taste was alright. I have also added some to my oats which was not too bad. Previously i have drunk the following teas: goji berry, Pu-erh and green tea. I purchased them from a Chinese herbal shop in East Ham, London.
I was never into normal tea so i was glad to have come across other hebal teas upon an advise in The Clear Skin Diet book. I have read a lot of good things about Matcha which influenced my desire to buy the green blend and give it a try.
Other drinks i have incorporated in my diet and love are carrot and cucumber juice. I recently went back to juicing but the juicer broke so i am stuck with a lot of carrot i have to try and eat. Drinking these two vegetable juice helped cleared up my skin too. When i run out of tea i drink hot water with lemon alone and at times with honey; using a straw because of the acidity of the lemon and my teeth. I do this in the early hours of some mornings at the moment.
I hope this has been helpful. Let me know which herbal teas you are currently drinking and any vegetable juice you have done or are currntly drinking.
Until next time, happy tea partyand happy juicing
