As previously promised, today’s post is about the New Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear, 24 hour wear retouch-free.
The foundation gives a light to medium coverage and is really light weight however if you have hyperpigmentation you may have to used a bit more to build up the coverage. When I wore it, it basically felt like I was not wearing anything on my face. It is really light and if it was not that expensive I would use it as an everyday foundation for work. It cost £31.50 for 30ml. I guess I can add it to my budget and invest in one each quarter, that should work. I will wear this foundation to an all day event because i know at the end of the day it will be easy to take off and will not clog my pores. If you want a natural look for a photoshoot this will be perfect for you.
The first two from the left of the above has no filter so you can see the coverage.
Initially I wanted to buy the shade 15 which is moka but when I tried it in store it was a bit light so I went for the next dark shade. The one I initially wanted was also the old one, I was told in store that this is new.
In some other pictures I took, the shade is slightly darker. This may be due to lighting however it matches my neck and not my chest which is lighter. I did add a tiny bit to my neck to see if it will be any different.
From the picture above it looks like a perfect match and does not look too dark. I am glad it matches my neck. If I use a shade closer to my chest it would have been too bright.
I am not a makeup artist but what I have learnt from doing my own makeup is that, when you use a darker shade than your usually shade you can work around it using concealers. So what I mean is once you apply the concealers and highlighter, your face is all contoured. I have tried this technique with the L’Oréal and MAC espresso. All in all I do like this foundation and would buy it again.
My next beauty review will be on the fenty beauty shade 460.
Are you currently using the new Lancôme foundation? What are your thoughts?
Until next time its bye from me.
